@doyoutweet
I watch Wine Library TV daily. For roughly twenty minutes everyday, I enjoy watching Gary Vaynerchuk rant and rave about wine, the Jets, Mott and social media. Episode 495 caught my attention for another reason — the shirt Gary was wearing. Gary is the only person who has an @doyoutweet shirt other than myself and business partner Nick. Nick and I were inspired to create a shirt that captured the essence of Twitter for all the users/followers who can’t live without it and go into tremendous withdrawal when the service is down. Twitter is a service that we both use and find extremely useful in keeping us up-to-date with the world around us — it helps answer the question “what are you doing?” and the shirt happens to ask just that. Here’s a clip of Gary wearing an @doyoutweet shirt:
Unfortunately, you can’t see the back of the shirt but there is a “Follow Me” button and a tweet that reads “In reality, nothing should be left unsaid.” Another image of the twitter bird also reappears on a twig branch.
The www.doyoutweet.com site is currently under construction and we hope to officially launch within the coming weeks. We have a number of shirts already printed and we hope to have more designs, color schemes, and other tweet messages to add in the near future. Thinking long term, we hope to expand the selection and allow the customer to customize their shirt with their own twitter screen name and favorite tweet. Stay tuned for new updates by following us on Twitter @doyoutweet or by checking out our website. This is a great side project of ours and we are excited to work on something that shows our appreciation to Twitter and the amazing Twitter community!
Note: All shirts are custom designs of urban10 [interactive]

Gary Vaynerchuk
Last night, I had the honor of meeting Gary Vaynerchuk. Most people know him as the host from winelibrarytv.com or perhaps a die-hard NY Jets fan. I’m fortunate to now know him as a genuinely great guy who loves life. I think I walked away with many more lessons on life, family, and finding real happiness then lessons about wine. As a self-professed Vayniac, I tune in to his daily video blogs and “follow” him on Twitter but getting the chance to converse with him face to face went completely beyond my expectations. Gary brings life into the room and soul into a conversation. When Gary speaks, you can’t help but see the passion he brings to the table. People flock to him and it isn’t hard to see why. Gary has a magnetic personality.
As I got to know Gary a little bit, I found that we share similar backgrounds in respects to our immigrant family background and life growing up within that structure. I had a mother who was an owner of a spirits/wine store and it was funny to share laughs and memories about parents putting their young children to work in the store. As the evening went on, it struck me that Gary epitomizes how people should treat one another. I think it’s pretty powerful that one person can inspire change like that. Perhaps Gary V could be the one to give Obama a run for his money in this election. Instead of “change,” Gary’s slogan could be “thunder.” Bring it.
